The Mastercard Intern Program is a comprehensive program where students will gain hands on real work-life skills while having fun and contributing to a global company. As an intern, you will be challenged with completing projects that will enhance your skills as well as contribute to the department’s goals and objectives.
AI & Security Solutions is responsible for developing innovative AI and ML based solutions solving pressing stakeholder pain-points, building a sustained competitive advantage for Mastercard while improving consumer experiences.
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Support the commercialization of an AI based solution aligned with the broader C&I multi-layered security strategy
• Identify an ecosystem pain point capable of being solved by AI/ML
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and orderly deployment of the solutions in market, with emphasis on robust project management.
• Ensure solutions developed are in line with industry standards for data management and privacy compliance including the collection, use, storage, access, retention, output, reporting, and quality of data at Mastercard.
Basic Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Management or other related fields
• Ability to concept solutions to loosely defined business problems using relevant data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented with robust project management skills
• Ability to flex between the technical requirements for AI/ML development and a practical business approach.
• MS Office Suite including Excel, PPT, Word, and Teams
• Familiarity with SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
• Relevant coursework in Cyber Security, Fraud prevention or related domain
• Familiarity with or knowledge of:
o Python or other general programming languages
o Big data frameworks like Hadoop, MapReduce and PySpark
o Deep learning frameworks like Keras, Tensorflow, Thenao, PyTorch etc.
o Neural network based architectures to solve various machine learning problems.
o Classical machine learning techniques like classification, regression, time series forecasting, recommender systems etc.
o Collaboration tools such as Confluence
• Instill confidence without qualification when engaging with stakeholders, building credibility throughout the process.
• Adopt a pragmatic approach to AI, capable of articulating complex technical requirements in a manner this is simple and relevant to stakeholder use cases
