Application Developer Intern to Assist on Luxury Automotive Solutions Position to be stationed in Montvale, NJ, working closely with colleagues in NJ and Germany Internship Sulzer US, LLC is a dynamic group of bright, innovative young professionals teaming up to improve the automotive tech experience. We are looking for a Java Developer to work closely with a team of Project Managers and other developers. The Java Developer will assume the following responsibilities: - Responsible for assisting with the development of various web applications and backend-logic in Java.
- Participate in the architecture and design process of the application.
- Troubleshoot production issues across multiple environments and Operating Systems.
- Must work closely with the Project Manager and other developers on analyzing user requirements and processes.
- Create and manage assistance tools, user guides and documentations.
- Contribute to or participate in QA.
- Have a working knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
- Work closely with overseas colleagues at Sulzer GmbH.
What does the ideal candidate look like? We are looking for an Application Developer Intern enrolled in college courses working towards a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields. Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Java Play, RESTFUL web services, Soap web services, XML, Hibernate, SQL, SVN, Jira, GIT and UNIX, a plus. Will demonstrate the ability to work independently, and apply critical thinking and sound judgment. Proficiency in German is a plus.
