The DevOps Engineering internship is part of an agile development team building and working on enterprise software applications. The DevOps Engineering Intern will be involved in all areas of system management from environment setup to production deployment.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a DevOps Engineering Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Working within a team using Agile (SCRUM) methodology to develop DevOps solutions for a large software development team.
• Transitioning an existing DevOps self-help WIKI to a new platform.
• Reorganizing and adding content to wiki.
• Designing and implementing a database to catalog and manage department shared IT (server and application) resources.
• Developing and documenting simple procedures for monitoring and performing maintenance on devices in a hybrid cloud computing environment.

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access.)
• Knowledge of basic database design methodology.
• Experience with windows development environments.
• Experience implementing databases in Microsoft Access or SQL Server.
• Experience using a wiki engine e.g. MediaWiki to develop and organize wiki content.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts.

Required skills to have for the success of this role

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (rising junior/senior) or Master’s degree majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Must be local to the Tarrytown, NY office (50 miles or less) or east coast based
• Must feel comfortable working in a fully virtual environment
• Must have permanent work authorization
• Must be available to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week)

Start date: May 2021; 3-month duration.
