What is an Integration/Middleware Developer?This role is within the Information Technology Development group which supports the Company’s critical business applications such as outage management, mobile computing, customer information, materials management, and field operations systems. Our Integration/Middleware Developer will be responsible for partnering with internal and external SOA counterparts to design, configure, develop, test and support integration solutions between enterprise technology solutions and other third party systems. We are currently using Oracle SOA 12c for our Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Framework.What does an Integration/Middleware Developer do?Assist with the continued development of our SOA Enterprise Suite tools including design, configure, develop and test business process integrationPromote re-use, mobility, flexibility, scalability and reliabilityWork collaboratively with internal and external SOA counterparts for periodic review of SOA enterprise roadmap for prioritizationWhat does it take to be an Integration/Middleware Developer?Required:Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field of studyAt least 2 years of software development experience including a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycleExperience integrating systems using web service standards such as REST, WSDL, SOAP, etc.Strong analytic, problem solving, decision-making skills and proven ability to discern critical from minor problemsMust be a motivated self-starter with the ability to learn through hands on experience and peer mentoring, as well as formal trainingWell-developed written/verbal communication skills, planning and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skills in areas such as facilitation and negotiation and the ability to work with internal customersMust be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision and work well under pressureProven ability to scope/size projects and adapt to a variety of assignmentsValid driver’s licensePreferred:Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture conceptsExperience with Middleware products such as Oracle SOA Suite, TIBCO, IBM Message Broker, etc.Experience with Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle WebLogic Suite, Oracle MFT, Oracle OSB, Oracle BPEL, Oracle BAM, and Oracle ESSExperience working with XML, XSLT, XQuery, Java, JSON, JCA Adapters, SQLExperience with relational database system (e.g. MS SQL Server, Oracle)Experience with system integration strategies and implementation of best practicesAPPLY: Please go to www.centralhudson.com/employment.
