Software Development Lead

---------------------------------------

We are looking for an experienced professional to head our software design

and development effort. This person will be responsible for the design and

development of a large-scale flexible software system that implements our

supply-chain costing and optimization methodologies into a robust product

that can be used to facilitate strategic decision-making in various

corporations. As the leader of the software group, he/she will be a part of

the core team and will participate in effectively deploying the business

goals of our company.

Job functions include

- Develop System architecture, requirements analysis and object-oriented

design of a flexible software system

- Recruit a team of top-notch software engineers and developers

- Lead the software team in the development of a package integrating

generic software modules into a highly flexible, customizable user-friendly

application.

We are looking for individuals with demonstrated competence in system design

and development with experience in developing industry level systems and

applications. The ideal candidate will possess:

- Five to seven years experience with object-oriented software analysis,

design and development, with at least three as a project leader

- Experience with development in client-server environments, and with using

databases (Oracle, MS SQL)

- Considerable exposure to programming in C++ and Java

- A masters degree in Computer Science with specialization in software

design and algorithm development would be preferred

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related

discipline

- Experience with UML and OO design tools such as Rational Rose a plus

- Experience with optimization and modeling tools will be a plus

Interface (GUI) Developer

- Good at visual design (Presentation of information, look and feel) skills

- Knowledge of object oriented software development.

- Skilled in C++ and/or Java

- At least 3 years of application development experience on Windows

platform

- Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server) is a plus.

- Experience with Microsoft VC++, Visual Café or similar rapid application

development (RAD) tools is a plus.

Application Developer

- Knowledge of object oriented analysis, design and development.

- 3-5 years of experience with developing commercial software applications.

- Should be able to take system requirements, co-ordinate with the

interface development person and team at SCA.

- Skilled in C++ and/or Java

- Experience with the windows platform is a plus.

- Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server) is a plus.

- Experience with Microsoft VC++, Visual Café or similar rapid application

development (RAD) tools is a plus.

- Experience with CASE tools such as Rational Rose is a plus.

Note: The database related development is not the major component of the

software development for this application.

and software developers. Some of the development jobs are in designing and

implementing vehicle routing and integer programming algorithms.

Here's a brand new posting that you won't yet find on the web site:

A C++ developer with 3+ years of experience designing and implementing

object-oriented code for distributed supply chain decision support and

execution systems. An engineering or C/S degree is required. STL, Internet,

Java, DHTML, COM, COM+, MTS development experience desired. Familiarity with

MSVC, BoundsChecker, Versant and Rational tools a plus. The candidate will

be responsible for creating distributed logistics applications in a team

environment. The candidate has "cradle-to-grave" responsibility in their

projects with significant input in requirements and design.
