The Shakespeare Folios Project

A collaborative digital census of Shakespeare’s Second, Third, and Fourth Folios.

Welcome! The Shakespeare Folios Project seeks to compile comprehensive information about three editions of Shakespeare’s seventeenth-century publications in folio. Through this site, librarians, scholars, and students can learn more about the features of these books, the people who have collected them through time, and the marks and notes they have recorded.

Get Involved! You can contribute to our ongoing project by editing information on a copy in the project database or by creating a new folio profile on an unrecorded copy.
