Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, atopic dermatitis and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, pain, cancer and infectious diseases.This person will be working in Research IT in Tarrytown, NY. The student will conduct full life cycle analysis of data sets in consultation with senior colleagues, including implementing data acquisition, cleansing, transformation and upload activities. The student will be responsible for developing and applying state-of-the-art ETL tooling for ingestion tasks. The student will be responsible for coding and scripting (SQL) for automating data transformation and loading tasks. They will additionally employ technologies such as Python, MatLab, R, C++, and Java directly in data wrangling code. The student will take on complex data-related problems using some of the most diverse datasets available, supporting Regeneron's research pipeline. They will provide analysis, analytical modeling, and/or visualization of data sets using relevant data tools. The student will identify possible trends and patterns in the data, and communicate relevant findings that help support problem solving, insight generation and decision making. Possibly, apply Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to determine patterns from raw data and carry out complicated and huge search operations across large datasets. The R&D-IT Team handles data ingestion for Research groups at Regeneron, and is seeking to continually expand its data corpus.     Delos Labs is seeking a Computer Science intern with a strong interest and experience with IoT to work on development of a software platform that tests and demonstrates research outcomes in the indoor environment. This position will work with scientists and engineers in Delos Labs to design and program different smart-home IoT systems based on either open or homemade APIs, build the database structure, and build a user-friendly, functional interface for the software platform. The person in this role will also have the opportunity to develop innovative control algorithms for various IoT devices. This is a 3-month internship with the potential to extend to a full-time position.
