    As a Front End software engineer at Lovingly you are a computer programmer who is proficient at building the client-facing side of all applications. A Lovingly front end engineer is a full stack developer with emphasis on the front end. You build front end applications using a variety of technologies. You create readable, maintainable code-bases that follow the standards and practices of modern web software development. You are encouraged to push the inclusion of new technologies and techniques as we grow our brand to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. You also write CSS, Javascript, and template code for emails, one page apps, and the legacy systems. In addition, as an Intern at Lovingly your role is important in supporting the projects you are assigned to. You are expected to participate at a professional level of output and quality and collaborate with those mentoring you. • Maintain and create new features for different JS frameworks including React, AngularJS, Bootstrap, etc • Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones • Optimizing applications for maximum speed • Works with designers to implement their vision • Create and update email templates using a combination of Jinja2 and Zurb Emails framework • Test emails and Applications using various test suites such as Browserstack, Virtualbox, and Ghostlab • Create Spec documents outlining the requirements of each project and estimate the time it will take to complete each task • Release applications on schedule with the other teams • Build environments for new application environments with Webpack, Docker, and Terraform • Understand the entire technology stack and be able to work in other domains • Continue to learn new technologies • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product • Other requests that support the business at supervisor requests This position is a temporary (3 month), full-time (40 hours per week), Monday thru Friday, 8 30 a.m. to 5 00 p.m. Requirements • Working toward a BS/MS in computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering or equivalent experience or code school training • Experience in at least one modern javascript framework, React preferred • Experienced in consumer email creation and distribution • Must be very comfortable creating layouts and writing forms that conform to accessibility requirements • Must know how to optimize a website for speed & performance, or be willing to learn • Must be comfortable using the command line, or be willing to learn • Experience in design and design tools a plus Benefits • An Apple computer and the latest software to do your job effectively • Competitive base salary • A fun, upbeat office culture • Casual dress code & relaxed working environment • A Collegial, Highly-Creative Working Atmosphere Here’s how we’re different The services we provide are performance-based, which means we put our clients first and prioritize their success.     Here is what you will be doing: As a Full Stack software engineer at Lovingly you are a computer programmer who is proficient in both front and back end coding to solve technical challenges from a holistic point of view. You handle complicated technical challenges and can plan and implement solutions that span multiple systems that will allow each sub-system to perform tasks its best suited for. You have a strong technical background in software creation and testing, reverse engineering, and various programming tasks. You also will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail. In addition, as an Intern at Lovingly your role is important in supporting the projects you are assigned to.
